Building Manager (including Data Centre)

Responsible for a modern and complex building and its infrastructure systems:
A) Building and Estate Management
• Operating and maintaining the site as a fully functioning building
• Ensure that the building is maintained to the highest possible standards at all time
• Provide effective management of staff operating within the Facilities function, consisting of facilities officers
• Manage and plan for routine building maintenance works, cyclical maintenance works, improvement works, conservancy and horticulture, common property
B) Data Centre Facility Management
• Responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of all Data Centre standard operating procedures. Maintenance refers to both preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Supervises, coaches, and develops Data Centre Facility Management “DCFM” Team
• Aligns DCFM policies, procedures, and metrics with client requirements and third party standards, e.g. ITIL, ISO 27001, etc.
• Oversee new Data Centre projects and A&A works to existing space. Responsible for project execution and supervision.
Manage customers’ expectation and project deliverables requirement.
• Ensures client services and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.
C) Finance and Contract Management
• Responsible for managing the building maintenance budget and working with the Estate Chairman in budget setting in future years
• Ensure that cost effective support and maintenance arrangements are put in place and regularly reviewed, using internal
resources and external contractors where appropriate
• Anticipate future developments with the building, its grounds infrastructure , décor and other features in advance, ensuring
that adequate planning and budgetary provision is made for maintenance and repair works and that continuity of service is
• Identify contracts maturity / arising and plan for appropriate allocation of these contracts in advance, in line with the procurement policy
• Liaise with managing agent and ensure an effective split between landlord and tenant building management responsibilities
• Working with the Estate Chairman to implement best value utility arrangements and to reduce costs wherever possible
D) Miscellaneous Roles
• Lead the development and Ensure regular emergency equipment checks including fire and intruder alarms, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers are completed
• Support the development and implementation of key operational and building management procedures to ensure that they are effective, represent best practice and are properly adhered to across the organization
• Managing building contractors when on site ensuring that they operate safely and in line with organizational procedures
• Support the development and implementation of Business Continuity and Emergency Disaster Planning
• Review future office space requirements and develop and implement a management plan

• Diploma / Degree in Building / Estate Management and / or related certifications.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building, facilities, infrastructure management.
• Experiences / knowledge on Data Centre will be useful.
• Possess good leadership qualities to lead team members.
• Able to handle fast pace environment and stressful situations well.

• Working Hours: Mon – Fri: 9.00am – 6.00pm
• Location: Raffles Place (Walking distance from MRT)
• Remuneration Package: $6,000 - $8,000 (Dependent on experience and suitability
